What: Comcast Cares Day 2011
When: Saturday, April 30th from 8:30—11:00 am
Where: Raytown High School, 6019 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO
Every year on Comcast Cares Day, we bring together tens of thousands of Comcast employees, their families and friends to make a positive impact in neighborhoods across the country.
On April 30th, Comcast Cares Day projects, spanning 39 states and the District of Columbia, will include rehabilitating public parks, planting sustainable food gardens, cleaning up schools such as Raytown High School and more.
This year Comcast is celebrating the tenth anniversary of Comcast Cares Day, which has since grown to become one of the largest single-day corporate volunteer efforts in the country. With last year’s effort included, Comcast employees, families and friends have now volunteered at more than 2,900 projects and delivered more than 1.7 million hours of service.
Comcast will have a video camera and crew at our 2011 Comcast Cares Day project to allow our public officials to tape a public service announcement in support of community involvement and volunteering your time and talents to the community.
